Principles of Magnet

Magnetic fields have been present since the creation of the universe, like gravitational force, Magnetic force cannot be seen but can be observed and felt. As in the case of the Earth it is represented by the North and South poles.
All the basic function of the Magnet revolves around basic principals of a North and South Pole. Regardless of Shape, Size, Strength or Manufacture every Magnet has at least one North and South Pole from which joining Magnetic lines of flux are emitted.
Foreign Body Detection (FBD's) is subject of high concern in Food Industry, Specially Ferrous & Semi Ferrous Material.
It is a matter of great concern that only in India and world over, that for such a sensitive and important subject, there is no Law or Legislation that covers the implementation of such equipment, which not only detects but also removes the FBD's form food.
Technological Advancement in the field of Harnessing of Magnetic Energy occurred over last few years in terms of Applications and related Manufacture of Magnetic Separations Systems has tremendously increased their use.
More and more manufacturers are not only incorporating this technology into their processing plants they are insisting that their suppliers also use it to meet their own Audit Standards.
Not like Metal Detectors, Magnetic separators not only detects the Magnetic (Ferrous) and Paramagnetic Stainless Steel contamination but removes both from the process line.
As a matter of fact more than 80% of all foreign metal objects found in food after a product recall were Magnetic.
Magnetic Separations Systems are not only Robust, but need very little or NIL Maintenance and have no Operational Costs, with capability of removing micron sized pieces of contamination, which are not seen with necked eyes.
Currently there is no Alternative Technology available to replace the function of a Magnet. Not only this there is no product loss as the Magnet only removes the contamination and not the product.
Magnets have an invaluable role to play in this field ensuring that from harvester to supplier to manufacturer and user the product passes through NUMEROUS MAGNETS ensuring that the end product is metal free.
MATERIALS
Every MAGNETIC SOLUTIONS PVT. LTD. high intensity magnetic separator incorporates Rare Earth Neodymium Iron Boron magnetic material. This material has an extremely high-energy characteristic enabling us to produce separators with very high Surface Magnetic Induction upto 12500 Gauss.
The maximum working temperature for this Rare Earth material is 60º C.
We can manufacture separators that can operate at temperatures up to 350º C, by using Samarium Cobalt Magnets for such a Special Application.
Another material we use in some of our larger industrial separators is Ferrite, this is a Ceramic material and has low performance but with the advantage of enabling us to use big quantities in a separator we can generate deep reaching flux fields up to almost 18”.
